Emotionally healthy leaders create emotionally healthy cultures.
Putting the emotion back into leadership
“Being coached by Phil was a real journey of self-discovery on topics that I’d either consciously or unconsciously muted throughout my professional career. Phil not only helped me navigate career-defining decisions during our time together but, more importantly, helped me home in on my career goals so I could take meaningful steps in the future towards them. Phil comes across as extremely calm and is a master of asking questions that provoke a deep sense of realisation. Words don’t do justice to the value his coaching sessions can provide an individual in their career and personal life.”

Emotionally aware and literate leaders lead emotionally healthy, efficient cultures. They create high levels of trust, autonomy and fear free accountability. Blame and toxicity are diminished and people are empowered to perform at their best.
Showing emotion in a business environment has long been seen as unprofessional and unproductive - something that should be ‘left at the door’. The truth is suppressing our emotions and feelings as professionals has held us back. This not only causes unnecessary pain and suffering on an individual level, but the systemic drag of having ineffective emotionally unaware, and underdeveloped leaders is, in my opinion, the biggest limiter of organisational growth and success. In short it’s not a human way to behave.
My work is to help leaders understand and get comfortable with, the feelings and emotions that are driving their behaviours. And then to support them to become effective, emotionally healthy leaders able to consciously choose behaviours that enable them to lead successful businesses and teams.
